GLASS not Plastic Container!
Beware! Other "glass" containers actually have a plastic top upper half, (ours has a glass top AND glass lid) and the hot water coming into the containers evaporate and condenses on the top of these 1/2 glass containers, and drips back down into the container contaminating the water from the plastic.
We are the only company who's entire container is ALL GLASS! Also of note,
the other cheap glass containers that are just modified coffeepitchers, the plastic in the upper part of these is not labeled, andthe type of plastic is unknown. The other option is to leave the cheap plastic lid off, which exposes all your waterto dust or bugs. We have the ONLY all GLASS sealed container, not some cheap coffee maker converted pitcher. Some may lookprettier, outs is functionally better and SAFER! No Plastic inside the glass container!
ILLUMINATED status light - Almost unheard of on a distiller this size! - Tells you when its making pure distilled water!
Top of Distiller (DOME)
Shown is the All Stainless Steel Dome with the (C)Splash Protector (internal and not able to be seen on new production runs of distiller.)
This helps prevent airlocks from occurring, reducing the chance of spill overs.
This reduces the chance of bacteria growth And has a better filtering quality, making sure a greater percentage of the coconut charcoal comes into contact, filtering the water better. Other styles may allow the water to flow around the filter media, instead of through it! The only other distiller on the market with a glass receptacle has the water flowing through a paper style filter before going into the glass receptacle. This one does not, it flows through this filter, that does not have paper, into a glass container. These filters tend to last 2 to 3X longer than paper filters
Stainless Steel in the interior where your water touches, composite material on the outside to prevent rust!
Mthe fan housing exterior is made of a composite material ( non metal ) like most distillers Nthe exterior is made of a composite material. Others are made of TIN that rust and dent easily O The Bottom Plate is made of a composite material, not metal. This is a place that rusts a lot on units who's exterior is made out of tin, because condensation from the unit tends to collect on the bottom rusting many units out after a period of time that are tin exterior.
BELOW , new style maintance free Circuit Breaker vs Old Thermal Fuse setup. Model III, only model like it with the new Circuit Breaker!
One dealers sends 3 fuses with his new units because he has so much trouble with the fuses!
The reason I mention the above is.. a lot of distillers will produce either a plastic taste, or a metallic taste when they make water because of the stainless steel they use, or the incol-aloy heating element some distillers use. This one does not! Companies (usually the ones that want to sell you a $1000 distiller) will tell you to Chill the water, or put drops of lemon juice in it, HAHAHA to cover up the taste from their inferior materials they use being leached into the water. Well folks, this produces clean tasting water, no need to put something else in the water to COVER UP any bad tastes or smells! And did I also forget to mention... No funny smell from a plastic bottle that your water is going into? :)
